A few of my past equestrian endeavors...
Not in any particular order

This is SUDDENLY ZIPETTE my daughter of Sudden Impact out of a Zippo Pine Bar daughter. Her barn name was "Dolly." The solid filly in the corral is her breeding stock baby, sired by another tobiano!
I purchased Dolly from her breeder who lived in Agua Dulce, California (where Sudden Impact stood at stud) Dolly stood just about 14.2 and was a little powerhouse with a prissy attitude. She seemed so sweet and cute, and I bought her based on her doll face... but yet beneath that sweetness lied a stubborn little weirdo. I should have paid attention to that old cowboy tale about cow-lick placement -- as hers was very high - and it was a double cowlick, to boot!
Pictured to the right  Kinetic Art an AQHA
(aka "Auto") gelding when he turned 3.

Auto was one of my most favorite horses, even though I only owned him for a few years. He had one of the kindest most giving personalities a horse owner could ask for... and I loved the way he moved. I've since missed him many times. He now resides in Oregon and this lucky boy has a beautiful barn, a loving owner and his very own tree lined grass pasture, too!

I purchased Auto as an unnamed, unregistered  colt from his breeder in Minnesota, when she was going through a divorce.  She found herself in dire straights and had to leave her ranch with  her ex-husband who was not caring properly for her  horses.

Poor Auto arrived in  California just before  turning one year old...he was skinny, wormy and riddled with blood sucking lice. I was disheartened as he wasn't the animal that I was expecting to walk off that transport van! I had purchased him from a "video tape" that the seller put together.
After a couple of years of health care and work he came back into his glory.

She was started under saddle before I bought her, and trail ridden in the "Parelli Natural Horsemanship" manner. If her training was testament to the natural horsemanship methods, I'd never own another started this way. She was fine until you pressed her for "anything" at all (like a turn?)
So, since I was still recovering from a severe knee injury the year before, I hauled Dolly to Norco to be ridden by trainer, Shelly Lunde. I'd hoped she could turn her in to a 'show' trail horse for me. Shelly really hated Dolly's temperament, and was apprehensive to ride her. To my disappointment after 3 months of "training" Shelly asked me to take her home. Dolly wasn't mean but she did have an attitude and didn't like being pushed. Oh well, another of my dreams down the drains.  Dolly was traded for the gray overo gelding I'm Incognito, son of Impress My Dad and Titans Image. (aka Zane) Dolly was shipped to Missouri where she was pasture bred to an Arabian horse in hopes of producing 1/2 Arab pintos. I've since lost track of what happened to her.
The now sadly deserted horse barns of Eby Ranch
Bellow pictured are two little AMHA pinto fillies, Tommie (chestnut tobiano) and Shenanigan's (bay tobiano)  Wow I can't recall their  names -
I will fill them in later when I recall. Tommie was out of a gorgeous palomino tobiano leased mare from Northern California whom I intended to buy as my main broodmare.  and these fillies were my last attempt at the horse show world before realizing my ever growing illnesses were based on severe horse allergies!
Miss Priss (bay roan dam) shown with daughter  Priscilla at her side...
my chestnut tobiano filly that I had purchased and  shipped from Wyoming just one year before my allergy testing.

Priscilla was sold to a family in Simi Valley, CA who also bought Sugar, a sorrel mini mare from me.
Azure Blue Mist, a lovely black mare with blue eyes, shown to the far right. She is another whom I had purchased and  shipped from Wyoming just my allergy testing.

Misty was first leased as a potential broodmare to Karen Malcor-Chapman of Norco. When she failed to settle her in foal.... she was sold at 1/5th my purchased price... to Horse Song Ranch in the high desert.
Vertical Limits Debonair Wildman, a homozygous tobiano stallion whom I purchased in Florida and shipped to California as my future herd sire and national champion!

He is now owned by Forester Creek Miniatures in San Diego County.
This is I'm Incognito --  "Zane" -- being ridden by my son Cody while he was on leave from the USMC. This picture was taken in about 1998.

Zane was a gray overo son of IMPRESS MY DAD AQHA and out of Titan's Image APHA.
I traded my mare Dolly for Zane, and since at the time I was interested in breeding, I eventually traded Zane for 2 registered Shetland 'broodmares', to a family who resides in Ojai  (Ventura County) as their family trail horse.  They  got the deal of the century on this trade. I was never able to get either mare settled in foal. I believe they still own Zane.

Eby Ranch donated one of out last miniature horses when they called and asked for help for a local family whose daughters "dream" was to own a miniature horse....

What a disappointment, and lie  this turned out to be... what an experience!
